Purpose and performance of pressure relief valve Pressure relief valve is applicable to oil immersed power transformer, power capacitor and cut-off switch to protect oil tank. When the oil immersed transformer fails in operation, due to overheating of the coil, part of the transformer oil is vaporized, and the pressure in the transformer oil tank increases rapidly. At this time, the pressure relief valve acts rapidly within 2ms to protect the oil tank from deformation or bursting. When the pressure in the oil tank rises again and reaches the opening pressure, the pressure relief valve will operate again until the pressure in the oil tank drops to the normal value. At the same time, it can also effectively prevent external air, dust, impurities, moisture, etc. from entering the running transformer, thus protecting the transformer from damage.
Installation and use of pressure relief valve
1. The pressure relief valve is generally installed on the oil tank cover or side wall of the transformer
2. The pressure relief valve of flange connection structure shall be equipped with flange base.
3. Hole size of threaded products on the transformer tank cover (see the installation dimension and specification table)
4. Each product is equipped with a safety helmet or tablet, but it is only convenient for users to use during the overall sealing test of the transformer, and must be removed before operation. -
